Katherine Tyrrell travels with a sketchbook in....... Maine

I visited Maine for the very first time in late September 2006.  Indoor sketches are done when it rains in Maine - and the rain in Maine falls mainly.........with some vigour.  But when the sun shines Maine is very beautifull.  It has a gorgeous coastline - if and when you can near it and some splendid rural landscapes.  Portland looked to be a very interesting town and I regretted not going there in the daytime.  See my travel sketchbook blog for the stories behind the sketches.
