I missed the first week of April due to continued elevated 'leg rest' but managed to visit on the 8th, 15th and 22nd April.  The difference in the three weeks I'd been stuck at home was amazing.  Suddenly the pond was full of spring greens, plants were in bud, leaves were unfurling and the ducklings were everywhere!  The bullrushes had been cut back to make room for new growth and the swans and moorhens built nests near the pavilion.  Mr Heron was always there every afternoon catching fish.  The colour of light on the ponds really began to change as the pond weed grew.
